Curriculum

We have spent time re-shaping our curriculum over time, ensuring our pupils receive coherent and sequenced teaching.  We have developed our curriculum to carefully sequence pupils' learning over a three year rolling programme from Year 2 to Year Year 6, with the EYFS and Year 1 curriculum mapped carefully in order to maximise opportunity for learning across mixed age classes.

Each topic has been carefully considered for age-appropriate stages of development, using the Chris Quigley essentials curriculum.  As part of wider trust work, we have then worked to shape the knowledge into an entitlement structure and use a mix of declarative and procedural knowledge to drive the content of our topics.
